We believe that students learn best when considered as a whole, complicated people, with rich intellectual and emotional lives. Educating them means moving beyond classroom lessons and engaging students in creative ways. It means helping empower them to become self-sufficient. And, it means recognizing that, we as educators, must be prepared to step outside of the classroom to become involved with the families and communities we serve.
Taking this holistic approach allows us to truly transform lives, and in turn, transform whole communities. Together, we can help end the cycle of poverty and lead our students toward better futures.
