Being a mom has been the most rewarding title I have ever had. Motherhood is the ultimate balancing act and learning how to effectively navigate being a sports mom with one child or four, is definitely a challenge. There have been exciting days when I have been overjoyed with the accomplishments of my children both on and off the field/court. However, there have been days when dinner was not cooked, the house was not cleaned, laundry was not done, I had no desire to carpool, and questioned every decision I made that week. All in all, I will say I would take the good, the bad, the joys, and the tears a million times over because I realize that my motherhood journey does not have to be perfect or identical to anyone else’s. Your motherhood journey is uniquely and authentically yours and whatever works best for your family, is what is best for your family.
